- Which specific fields are imported from Wetu to WordPress?

- How do I initiate integration between my Wetu account and the Tour Operator plugin?
First, request an API key from Wetu after signing their API agreement. Enter the key in the LSX Tour Operator plugin settings to establish the connection.
- Why are there no images showing for Destinations imported from Wetu?
Due to licensing and copyright reasons, Wetu does not supply default imagery for Destinations. It’s the responsibility of the user to source and upload appropriate images to Wetu before syncing them with WordPress.
- How does the importer integrate with websites?
The importer is built specifically for WordPress and requires the Tour Operator plugin to function. Once installed on a WordPress site, and connected using your Wetu API key, it allows you to import selected content — such as itineraries, destinations, and accommodation — directly into your website.
- Does it work with specific platforms, or is it universally compatible?
The Wetu Importer plugin is built specifically for WordPress websites, and requires the Tour Operator plugin to work. It is not universally compatible.
- Can we customise how the content is displayed on our site, or is it a direct pull from Wetu?
You’re in full control of how the content looks. The importer pulls in the information from Wetu, but using the Tour Operator plugin, you can design and style your templates however you like. The imported content is displayed within those templates, so it fits seamlessly into your site’s design.

No. Both plugins are designed exclusively for WordPress. We recommend migrating to WordPress to take full advantage.

Yes, via integration with plugins like WPML or Polylang. It’s handled on a case-by-case basis, so reach out to our team if you need help setting it up.
- Is connected content easily accessible to the user? For example, information on an accommodation visited during a tour?
Yes, each post type allows you to upload specific content that relates to other post types. When a prospective client views a destination, they can also see relevant tour packages and accommodations associated with that destination. Similarly, viewing a tour will display the accommodations and destinations linked to it.
- How does the Tour Operator plugin organise my tour operator website content?
The LSX Tour Operator plugin introduces additional post types such as “Tours” and “Accommodations,” allowing for structured and organised content tailored to a tour operator’s needs.
- Is it possible to hide certain content from public view?
Yes. Use the User Role Block in the Visibility tab in the editor to make specific content visible only to logged-in users or specific user roles.
- Can multiple users manage content in the WordPress editor simultaneously?
WordPress limits simultaneous editing to avoid conflicts. Team members should coordinate their edits to avoid issues.
Compatibility
- How does this impact SEO and site performance?
The plugin itself won’t negatively affect your SEO or site performance. As long as you’ve set up your SEO properly using a tool like Yoast SEO, and you’re optimising things like image sizes and hosting, your site will perform well. It’s all about how you configure the rest of your setup.
- Will installing the Tour Operator plugin disrupt my current site?

- What happens if I disable the CSS or JavaScript options?
Disabling these options will stop the Tour Operator plugin’s default styling or scripts from loading. This is useful for advanced users or developers who want full control or are debugging conflicts.
- How do I set the currency shown on tour and accommodation pages?
Under the General tab in the settings, you can select the currency that will be displayed across your listings.
- Can I disable the contact modal and use a custom contact page instead?
Yes. In the General settings, you can disable the default enquire modal and provide a custom link to your own contact page instead.
- Where do I configure the Tour Operator plugin settings?
You can find the plugin settings by going to your WordPress dashboard, hovering over “Tour Operator” in the sidebar, and clicking on “Settings”. From there, you can adjust general, display, API, and post type-specific settings.

- What other information can I add to a tour?
You can include pricing details, duration, departure and end locations, travel styles, group size, custom highlights, and more — all using dedicated blocks and fields.
- Can I include a day-by-day itinerary?
Yes, the Itinerary block lets you structure each day’s activities. You can include highlights, transport info, meals, and media for each day of the tour.
- How do I create a new Tour on my site?
In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Tours” and click “Add New”. From there, you can enter the tour’s title, description, add a detailed day-by-day itinerary, upload images, and link relevant destinations and accommodation.
Editing a Tour FAQs
- Can I change which destinations or accommodations are linked to a tour?
Yes, you can add or remove linked destinations and accommodation directly in the Tour editor using the relevant blocks or panels.
- Will my changes get overwritten by the importer?
Not if you’ve enabled the custom content settings in the Wetu Importer. Make sure “Enable Custom Titles” and similar options are turned on to keep your manual changes.
- How do I update an existing tour’s content?
Go to the “Tours” section in your dashboard, hover over the tour you want to edit, and click “Edit”. You can update text, images, the itinerary, linked destinations, and any other fields in the block editor.
Travel Styles FAQs
- Can I edit the URL for a Travel Style?
Yes, you can customise the slug for each Travel Style to better match your SEO or branding preferences.
- What’s the featured image used for in Travel Styles?
The featured image is used on Travel Style archive and listing pages. It helps give users a visual preview of that style of travel.
- Can Travel Styles have a hierarchy?
Yes, Travel Styles support parent and child relationships. For example, you can have “Adventure” as a parent and “Hiking” as a child.
- Where can I manage Travel Styles?
In the WordPress dashboard, under the “Tours” menu, click “Travel Styles”. Here you can add, edit, or remove travel style categories used to organise your tours.
