Creating the destination #
- Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard
- Hover over the Destination in the left column.
- Select the Add Destination.
OR - Click the Add New Destination button at the top.

Editing the main content #
- Title – Edit the Title of a destination by editing the field labelled Add title
- Content – Add information about the destination in the main content field.
- Featured Image – Set the Featured Image by clicking Set Featured Image in the top right.
- Excerpt – You can set an Excerpt for the destination by clicking the Add an excerpt… link. This will appear in the destination card on landing pages.
- Featured – If this is toggled, the destination will be Featured, and appear in Featured Destination sections of the site.
- Disable Single – If this is toggled, the single page will be disabled, this means that although the destination will appear on landing pages and searches, it will redirect to the home page when clicking on it.
Below is an empty destination, as well as a completed destination for your reference:


Configuring the destination #
Travel Info and Custom Fields sections #

NOTE: If any field is left blank, it will not display on the front end of your destination.
In the Travel Info section you can add travel information about the destination. These include:
NOTE: Travel Info will only display on in the Single Country template by default.
- Electricity – Enter details about the country’s electrical system (e.g., voltage, plug types).
- Banking – Provide information about banking services and currency in the country.
- Cuisine – Describe the typical cuisine or food experiences in the country.
- Climate – Give an overview of the country’s climate and weather patterns.
- Cuisine – Describe the typical cuisine or food experiences in the country.
- Transport – Provide information on transportation options available in the country.
- Dress – Describe any local dress customs or recommended clothing for visitors.
- Health – Provide important health-related information for travellers (e.g., vaccinations, health services).
- Safety – Enter safety tips or advice for staying secure in the country.
- Visa – Provide details on visa requirements for entering the country.
- General – Add any other relevant general travel information about the country.
In the Custom Fields section in the right hand column you can configure important information for your destination that will display in their respective blocks on the front end. These include:
- Tagline – Set a tagline for your destination.
- Best time to visit – The ideal months or season for visiting the destination.
In the Continents section in the right hand column you can assign a continent to the destination. Read the documentation on Continents here for more information on how to set them up.
In the Travel Styles section at the bottom of the right hand column you can assign travel styles to the destination. Read the documentation on Editing Travel Styles here for more information on how to set them up.
Location and Media sections #

NOTE: If any field is left blank, it will not display on the front end of your destination.
In the Location section you can configure how the map displays for your destination.
- Disable Auto Zoom – If this box is checked, the map will not zoom in when the mouse is hovering over it and the mouse wheel is turned.
- Address – Once you have added your Google Maps API key to the field in the Settings, you can enter an address here for the destination.
- Map Placeholder – Add a placeholder image for the map if no address or GPS data is available, or you are unable to add a Google Maps API key.
In the Media section you can add images and videos for your destination.
- Gallery – To add images to your destination that will display in the gallery section, click Add new image and either select or upload images.
- Videos – Add videos of your destination by filling in the relevant fields:
- Title – The title of the video
- Url – The url where the video is hosted
- Caption – The caption displayed with the video on the frontend.
- Alt Text – Alternative text for accessibility, describing the video for screen readers.
Related section #

NOTE: If any field is left blank, it will not display on the front end of the destination.
In the Related section you can connect destination, destinations, activities, specials and team members to your destination. These will display in their respective blocks on the front end.
- Related Posts – Select blog posts on your website that are related to your destination.
- Related Accommodation – Select the accommodations that are found in the destination.
- Related Tours – Select tours that are connected to the destination.
- Activities – Select activities connected with the destination.
- Specials – Select specials connected with the destination.
- Teams – Assign team members to the destination.
